As the only Mint making Lincoln Cents that year, Denver was under high pressure. Cents without a Denver "D" mintmark emerged, just like in this top-pop, strong reverse example. I'll never have a 1909-S VDB due to the price and not wanting a slick, but it's at least legit. That's what the copper Mint Set tokens are for, right?
