My newbie self is back with more 1982 pennies lol

*Edited to make this post about 1 coin. I will post the other 2 separately*

Note: Still working on my photos. So far the best way I found to capture the small intricate details with my iPhone is if I am holding the coin. Not sure why the camera focus seems to work best this way. However, with this new found hobby, I'm considering getting a camera to use for these coin hunting adventures.

With all that said, here we go:

1. I'm trying really hard to learn the difference between Strike Doubling, Doubled-Die, & Die Deterioration/Fatigue. I'm fatigued lol. Does the obverse on this first one seem doubled to any of you? Also on the right side rim from middle to bottom it looks like there is a "double" rim (not sure if double is the right word to use here for the rim).

Thoughts on this one?
Thanks in advance for helping me learn!

We would rather you 'clutter' the forum with your 3 coins in separate topics - in make the conversation easier and avoids confusion as to which coin was being referenced.
every coin will not be identical due to many factors.
the dies that struck the coin
circulation factors such as wear and hits and/or dings
and then there are environmental conditions that can change a coins appearance.

1= no doubling that I can see, the rim could be a Rim Fin or a little off center. No big deal. 2= lines look like either roller lines or feeder but I will stay with roller lines. 3= yes, nice die crack.

CoinChat89,
Not seeing any doubled dies with this coins.
The rim thing is called a Rim Fin.
The one reverse has a nice die crack.
What you should do every time you think you found a doubled die is check all three reference sites for a match. http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php
http://www.varietyvista.com/
http://doubleddie.com/
There are many types of doubling we all need to learn, here is another site to bookmark along with the previous ones to study: https://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles...Doubling.htm

Handling the coin without gloves is not a good idea. If you don't have any cloth gloves, handle it by the edge only. Finger prints last forever and takes away any value that the coin might have.. Just my opinion.
