I see what you are saying but come on now - without your mag pictures would anybody else see that?

Marve, for such doubled dies, I think of them like snowflakes. They are delicate, interesting, and there are so many unique variations. They aren't as dramatic as big, chunky doubled dies, but you can't buy a big, chunky doubled die for a few bucks, either. =)

IMO not 007 doubling on the 9 looks more towards the east. where as your's is more north/east. I say no to 11 After a quick study...I'd say I'm leaning more towards 28.

One of the things that I really like about proof doubled dies is that they capture the tiny details in such a perfect way. And the coins have never been scraped or banged around in a way that would damage or muddle the doubled features. I like this 1962 proof cent DDO. The separation lines are clear, and it's a nice coin.

Excellent point, and that's why I search BU rolls for varieties, but proofs are even better given the double striking and careful handling. BU coins are still subject to hits from other coins.

Yes, and even BU coins can suffer considerable Die Deterioration that distorts doubled die devices. /alliteration
