I was able to obtain 100 dollars today in nickel rolls from my Credit Union. So... My favorite finds out of the batch. I am quite surprised how many 38, and 41's I found. All Philly, except the two 41 Denver.  Couple of 47's and a 48  And... the Best of all, a highly warn 1943 - S silver War Nickel!  This is also only the second one that I've ever found in the wild. Always get a kick finding silver in the wild.
Look out for Henning nickels too.

Nice! I searched a box only once and I believe I ended up with one single War Nickel as well.  In Memory of Crazyb0 12-26-1951 to 7-27-2020

The War Nickel is a great find but my faves are those '38s. First year finds are fun. "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Most likely not. The 38 or 39 might be worth a buck or two.
That's probably it.

Thanks everybody! Also, I found this today within the pile of nickels that I was actually taking back to cash in. I don't know how I missed it! 1949 philly! Also, I should oddly note that this is the first ever 1949 philly dated nickel I've ever found. 1949 nickels seem to be VERY sparse in general.   |

Did you search the modern nickels for minor doubled dies? That's a fun way to spend a lazy afternoon.
