Hi I am a brand new newbie, I've always wanted to learn more about coin collecting but never had time. I am now retired and excited about my new adventure. I have always saved coins from everywhere but never really knew what to look for.
Question:
I have a 1973 D Lincoln Penny that looks like it was stamp wrong but I'm not sure.

The L in Liberty looks like it's too far over to edge. Thank you for your patience as I'm learning

I think the reason it looks like the L in Liberty is too far over is because the die used to strike the coin is starting to wear out. Welcome to the community, I am a new member as well. Good luck on your adventure, this is a good place to learn.

First, welcome to CCF. Second, can you please be a little more descriptive about what you are seeing with the coin in hand? Which design elements seem wrong to you? Thx for clarifying.

I'm seeing a very slight MAD, which is another possible cause for the " L on rim" phenomenon. Not saying it adds any premium, but just sayin'.
