Good Morning. Here I go again at the bat. I'm ok with swinging and missing, as long as I learn something in the process haha

There are quite a few things going on here with this 1989-P Lincoln Penny.

On the obverse: 1) There is a Ridge Ring 2) Die scratches 3) Maybe a DDO (DDO-001)?

I did my best to re-create some of their pics.

On the reverse: 1) Die scratches 2) There's something funny going on (looks like some sort of "doubling" lol) with the letters "TED" in United, but I remember reading on this forum that if you think you have a DDO & DDR on the same coin you likely have neither, so I either have neither or one side is PMD? 3) There is a die crack from the corner of the memorial to the rim.

Thoughts?

Oddguy - Machine Doubling would make sense on the OBV (now that you said that, I see how it looks step-ish). What about the "TED" in United on the REV? Does that look some type of doubling to you or just some sort of PMD?

Ridge ring, yes--an indicator of Die Deterioration. Appears the coin suffers from zinc plating issues (all that texture). And, a decent reverse die crack. And, split plating on TED.

Die Deterioration, Machine Doubling, and a Die Crack. Not seeing a DDO.

@coinfrog - sorry, I was trying to re-create (to the best of my ability) the variety vista pics.
