Hello Again, I have a microscope now so I'm armed and dangerous now. Is this machine Dublin (ireland) or a proper double die here? I appreciate the time! TY

That's fantastic Coinfrog!

But right! Do you want to be a "Numismatist" or a "Macro Photographer" ? Under magnification there are so many things you will see on a coin that doesn't mean a thing to the numismatic world.

And remember to keep a pristine background - sometimes finding out what kind of "hair" you captured is more of a challenge than answering the question about the coin itself!

Got it, microscope bad. Machine Dublin = Ireland joke. Does the cat hair have any value?

Darn it - I had 2 to 4 odds on being a small Beagle pup!

If you have a doubled die, it will match up EXACTLY with an entry at varetyvista.com or doubbleddie.com.

Otherwise the doulbing is not collectable and can be from Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration, etc.
