I find myself with a similar coin ... wanting and hoping for, what would be a valuable grade, knowing its probably no higher than an F12. That being said, once I get mine graded, I'll be sure to post it with pictures. I would love to see yours graded, as well.

 to the CCF If authentic, harshly cleaned and likely tooled. Despite the poor treatment this coin deserves to be in a TPG holder albeit a Details one. At least then the next owner can be confident in authenticity.

The example appears genuine with the raised 3, tilted S mint mark and correct date position. My grade is VG Details cleaned and tooled.

its been tooled VG details (tooled)  with a couple of the others in slabbing it. there is still significant value to the coin however if this was a date I was looking for i'd take a straight graded AG before a VG tooled piece. just my opinion.

It has to be authenticated by a major TPG. Even in the condition it's in, it's worth significant money if genuine.

Wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole without 3rd party authentication.
