What's up, people? I was looking for some error coins in my pennies, and this one caught my eye. Is this an error coin? *** Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. It's essential to have it in the title. ****** Edited by Staff to crop/rotate/resize images. In the future, Please crop, resize, and correctly orient images before uploading. ***

What makes you think it's an error?

The "L" close to the rim. And in god we trust also close to the rim, almost looks like it overlaps into the rim.

The " L on rim" is one of the latest ebay fads to try to sucker people out of their money. The following graphic represents how social media has influenced a lot of people and has them thinking worthless coins are collectable. Note I am NOT saying this is you (I don't even know you!), but I am saying this is what has happened to the masses. The last line tells you how to find real coin errors.

Quote: The last line tells you how to find real coin errors. Unfortunately, a book with a name including "Strike it Rich" may have something to do with the issue. That line should never be attached to something attempting to introduce newcomers to the hobby. It's asking for trouble, IMO.
