Very cool, eel! I read the old thread in its entirety, very exciting! Please shoot us a link for the auction, it's always fun to watch them when there is a story to go along with it.

Welcome back and thanks for your follow through and patience in the original thread.
Glad to see you're back and including us in the loop to selling it.

Others have pointed you in some good directions. Great Collections and Heritage have a good following and would do well. Whichever way you go, there should be some positive results and lots of interest.

Best of luck to you in making your choice.

I agree Great Collections is probably the way to go, but have a question.

Didn't have time to read all the rather extensive comments, but just looking at the slab I don't understand how a quarter struck on a quarter can be a double denomination error?

Good luck. That is an awesome coin. I've sold a few coins for huge profits but regret it because I don't have the money or the coin anymore. lol

No not one thing. Bills paid. And nothing to show for it. I do not sell my coins anymore. You guys may think I am in it for the money but all of my coins will go to my daughter. I plan on having an amazing set for her when the time comes.

I need to retract my previous statement. I do plan on selling a few coins one day. Basically to cover grading costs and upgrade coins. Anyway, best of luck on your coin and sorry for distracting from your topic. I would say you may have a $5k coin!!

Crazy error coin there! And I wonder about tropicalbats' question too.

how was it acquired?

I actually did not think that at all, Will. I was just thinking coin upgrades or varieties that you wanted more than the one you would sell. I have always enjoyed checking out your finds, whether they be picks or just straight out buys. You have acquired some really nice coins.

Back to eel. Be sure to give us a link to your auction, it's always fun to watch and unfortunately that's all I will be doing.

Yes, good link Tunnioc..

So the slab description is an error also, should read "Dual Year Double Strike"

Please make sure your daughter fully understands the value of your coins before she gets them. I collected Pokemon cards as a kid and I had the entire 1999 set including first edition charizard (worth over $10k for those not knowing) and I gave them to my son for him to sell one day. Apparently he didnt fully understand their value and he lost them all. Id hate for that to happen to you, I was crushed
