@dou, it's hard to see s clearly when the pics are sideways. Pls try to fix that on future threads. Thx.
I can see pretty clearly that there is some dried adhesive on the rev on QUARTER. You may also have a die clash, but perhaps some of that is more glue?

There is zero glue in this coin. All are lumps and raised metals.

Beautiful heavy clashes, I think.

Not seeing a die clash here, area over "QUARTER" lettering looks to be glue or something. Then again, your photos are just out of focus enough to make an accurate assessment impossible.

@Tac, can you see the small solid circle inside the letter "Q"? That is a metal. My guess is the word "Quarter" and those in that area have been struck more than once.

Sorry, I'm with the others here, not seeing a clash - and that is glue or some other clear substance covering part of 'Quarter'.

This is a closeup photo of the word "quarter" This is not a glue or gum. Do you need a microscope to see solid double letters and double metals under the word quarter? Heavy.

Now that you enlarged it so much, I'm seeing a yellow tint to what is apparently glue...........................

a soak in acetone should remove that glue so you can see what is beneath it..

Quote: Those are blobs. Blobs, splashes, splatters, globs, whatever you want to call it.....it's still glue or some other gunk stuck to your coin.
