Moniker, I don't like the looks of that one - it's just not right. Mintage was only 10,500 that year. I strongly suspect a fake.

Yeah I don't like it either it lacks detail, but I don't know us gold coins

Not real!! The font and letters are too thick as found on most non-impressive counterfeits.

Definitely counterfeit.
All you have to do is compare your photo to
the photo of a genuine coin to see discrepancies.

As I suspected, I looked at pcgs at a genuine one and got suspicious,
but thoguht I ask here for comfirmation.

Well no cheap 1868 gold dollar for me, its in a collection with several real gold coins for sale. I wonder how old it is.

Apparently 1868 is the most common date for counterfeit gold dollars. This one might be real gold. I'd check it using XRF which my local coin shop would do for free.
