CCB420 Pillar of the Community United States 588 Posts	Posted 02/06/2025 10:19 am So picked this guy up out of the $1 bin at my local coin shop several weeks ago! I'd just got through asking the owner if he had any interest in doubled dies, or any other varieties, to which he simply replied "yes"! It was just a cpl seconds later that I picked up this guy and could clearly see something extra around the mintmark with my naked eye. Owner must not have too much interest in rpm's, or he just flat out missed this one. Either way, I was happy bringing him home and adding to my collection, but probably would've bought it without the rpm! I'm a sucker for shiny Wheaties (or memorials)! Think the close up pic is clear enough to see, but let me know if more, clearer, pics are needed! Report this Post to the Staff

Thanks to everyone else's comments as well! I'm kinda torn on whether I prefer a coin to be an obvious variety, like this coin, of or if I enjoy pulling out my microscope to magnify whatever I'm looking at, then comparing to known attributions!
