1966 P LMC Atypical Struck-In Rim Burr

At first glance this looked like a typical rim ding but upon closer inspection you can see some struck-in metal associated with the rim loss. I'm guessing this is an unusual struck-in rim burr.

That pretty neat looking. Could there be a vertical collar crack involved as well? I'm still very new to errors but trying to learn. Maybe take a look at the opposing edge and see if there is something similar.

Thanks makecents, the rim looks normal aside from this area. That part you circled is of a striated area where the metal was torn up prior to strike.

I guess it could be a "rolling fold" error.

My bad, just looked like there was something on the opposing rim, in the obverse picture, thought it may be on the edge too, like the link shows.
