Is this some sort of error? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

to the CCF forum Japanga! That looks to be a die break. Probably worth $5 or so.

It looks like a circulation hit that split the tail of the 9.

Quote: .my neighbor got HBO Hopefully his Doctor gave him some penicillin to cure it! I don't know - it might be metal movement but the 9 is thin to begin with. I don't know where that much metal would come from.

With this amount of circulation wear it is hard to know for sure. I'm on team damage for this one. Even if it is a tiny die crack though, I don't think that there is a numismatic premium.

Very interesting coin. I am going to say because it is in line with the bottom leg of the nine, it could have been dropped when it was struck and transferred to this location. Look at the leg of two, it seems to have less metal on it.

I agree with circulation damage from a hit. Whatever the cause, it is not an error.

Okay. Thank you guys for taking the time to respond. No matter the cause, this coin will make a great addition to my collection. I really like it.

I'm thinking a well placed hit from PMD.
Errers and Varietys.
