Well, I just see my bank rolls dwindling, even though I have not had much time to search, it's disheartening. I did not have a major issue with the end of Lincoln Cents being minted but did not see the stoppage of cents being readily available, that caught me off guard or I would have bought a few hundred dollars worth of boxes. I digress.... I found this nice little doubled die today from a Loomis roll, not a bad looking coin either, just some carbon spots here and there, otherwise, an AU/BU cent. Nice Find! Think I'll see if I can "stock up" on pennies (even if they do drive me nuts! ) Have you tried ordering some boxes at the bank? Don't know if there is such a thing, but, might be worth trying.

Great find! I do feel your pain about Lincoln Cent rolls being hard to find. I was only able to get 1.00 worth of rolls the last time I went to my bank.
Errers and Varietys.

Well, during my searching, for at least the last decade, my wife, who works at a big box as the "book keeper" has kept me in as many cents as I wanted, I was a bit spoiled.... Did not even have to go to the bank, she would just order a couple more boxes than they needed and would buy them straight out. About three weeks ago, she came home and told me that cents were no longer on her available list of coins to order from Loomis, not available, this is a major big box. Today, I went to my personal bank and asked for a box, they said they did not have a box, I said, do you have any rolls I can buy, she said, is this for a business, I said no, being truthful and not understanding what was coming next, she said there is a "coin" shortage and cannot give them out unless for a business, one of the few times in my life I wished I had lied.... Did you notice I said a "coin" shortage, she did not say pennies/cents, she said coin, what is coming?

Thanks, E&V! Yup, an odd new world for us Lincoln searchers.

Quote: what is coming? Last time I hit the bank, they didn't have any pennies either. Definitely will try next week! Fortunately (hopefully!) I have five branches of my bank in close proximity, so I can make the rounds!

Great find from a Loomis roll!
The coppercoins listing shows the date with some similar odd doubling to my 60P posts. Do you see anything on this coins date similar to what I've shown?

Yes thanks, I believe whatever it is is present on a lot of coins but polished over more. Or it disappears through die wear.

Excellent find @makecents Too bad the search for Lincoln cents will be getting harder as these little jewels become more and more scarce. Too bad you don't have the apparatus to make Cents, 'makecents'.

Nice find Jon I still have about half a box of bank wrapped rolls to search. Same box from which I found 2 1998 WAM's.
