Hello guys,

I am looking to unload a ton of BU CDN dollars (60-66') at the Long Beach show in Cali. What is the going premium for dollars? I was thinking of trading/selling them for $3 over spot

I don't think the dealers will offer 35% over spot 10-15%? A ton=4,354 Canada silver dollars that is a very good collection.

My dealer SELLS for less than $3 over spot. I think you'd be best to revise your selling price.

Hoard your silver!

So can anyone give me the specs on these dollars? Are they the voyager ones? And how much silver do they contain?

Each dollar contains 0.6 ounces of actual silver, 80% as mentioned above.

Just to add to what Oasis said, one dollar worth of Canadian silver coin equals 0.6 ounces no matter how it's added up. 10 dimes = 0.6 oz, 1 50c + 2 quarters = 0.6 oz, etc. Just like us 90%, it can be bought and sold at "X" times face, regardless of denomination. I'm sure you all knew that already, but just in case anyone didn't I thought I'd throw it in.

Actually that is not true of US coins.

Often times this doesn't matter because the numismatic value of MOrgan and Peace dollars is usually greater than the bullion value, but all 90% coins do not have the same ASW per dollar of coins.

There are 0.7234 troy ounces of silver in 10 silver Roosevelt dime(s).
There are 0.7234 troy ounces of silver in 10 silver Mercury dime(s).
» There are 0.7234 troy ounces of silver in 4 silver Washington quarter(s).
There are 0.7234 troy ounces of silver in 2 silver Walking Liberty half dollar(s).
There are 0.7234 troy ounces of silver in 2 silver Franklin half dollar(s).
There are 0.7234 troy ounces of silver in 2 silver 1964 Kennedy half dollar(s).

Here comes the kicker...
There are 0.7735 troy ounces of silver in 1 silver Morgan dollar(s).
There are 0.7735 troy ounces of silver in 1 silver Peace dollar(s).

So if you are strictly dealing in bullion value:
10 dimes = 4 quarters = 2 halves < 1 dollar

That is true karrlot, I forgot about the dollars. Though as you say, the Morgan/Peace dollars are more likely to have a numismatic premium and not be sold as "junk" silver.
