So, I got a few rolls of 2024P nickels today! Opened one to see if the were all, indead, 2024's (especially since this roll enders were both tails)
Anyway - I am amazed at how beat up almost all the coins are!
Is this normal? Do most coins get a lot of damage from bagging and rolling?
I thought I hit the jackpot with rolls of beautiful, uncirculated 2024's!
I guess not.

Fun to find 2024 nickels, but their condition.. that is a shame.

Keep the best ones from the group regardless.

Very nice, congrats. For others that may not know, 2024 is a lower mintage year.

I would keep them all. Even AU examples of low mintage coins will have some demand now and in a few years.

Yes, dings and rubs are normal. The coins are subjected to much 'mechanical handing' before exiting the mint in huge bags loaded on semi trucks.

I'd say get back to that bank and pick up a few more rolls. I've been searching and haven't found one let alone a full roll.

They are selling for quite a premium on ebay - especially the 24-D's.
