My favorite coin designs are the ones by Gobrecht and Longacre. Unfortunately, Gobrecht is cost prohibitive to obtain. Are there any modern restrikes of Gobrecht designs out there? If so, have any ever been graded as, say, tokens?

Daniel Carr did a Gobrecht overstrike, 1837-O Seated dollar. Details at http://www.moonlightmint.com/blog_52.htm

There are a couple currently on ebay, but at ~$1400 probably still outside your price range.

Christian Gobrecht designed the braided hair large cents, they are very affordable.

Most of the Liberty seated series have examples that aren't all that costly unless you insist on high grade coins.
