Whitman chose to segregate the descriptions, photos, and pricing of this category. Terrible editorial decision, as one needs to turn to three or four different pages to get all of the information for a particular issue.
Examples
1925 Stone Mountain Memorial Half Dollar: Description: Pg. 296; Photo: Pg. 301; Pricing, Mintage Info: Pg. 303.

2016 National Park Service Centennial: Description: Pg 309;
Half Dollar Photo: Pg. 313; UNC Half Dollar Pricing: Pg. 314; Proof Half Pricing: Pg. 315.
Dollar Photo: Pg. 328; Dollar UNC Price: Pg. 311; Dollar Proof Price: Pg. 332.

The term "lamebrain" comes to mind.

That's really frustrating and definitely sounds like a poor editorial decision. I liked the old style of keeping each commemorative program separate.

I haven't seen a copy of the new Red Book yet. I just got the 2025 edition for free, so it'll be a while before I pick up a newer copy.

That is indeed an odd decision. I would drop back to an early version.

I still have my childhood 1972 RedBook. Based on this reference I can purchase a 1915 Panama Pacific $50 Octagonal piece in UNC for $4500.

I would not bother with the 2026 edition, I was able to find numerous errors in it. Missing items, skipped items being the most common errors. Proofing was missed on this edition. I had not bought an edition in 35 years, so I am glad I only bought the one.

True, but if you're looking at the series as a whole (as in another thread here where someone wanted pictures of all of the modern gold commemoratives), this layout is pretty handy and it's a more condensed presentation so less paper/fewer pages overall.

I picked up a year-old 2022 Red Book spiral bound for $5 at the local bargain outlet.

Excellent!

My newest is 2014. I probably should get something newer. A 2022 at $5 would be a huge improvement!

My "newest" is 2017. Was considering the 2026, but will hold off.
