It's actually kind of disgusting how flooded ebay is with the LP2 sets. It's like one of those statistics that an African boy under the age of 5 dies of AIDS every 18 seconds... except it's: every three minutes, an auction for the 2009 Lincoln Formative Years Cent ends in utter ruin. Can anyone foresee a time in the near future when these would jump back up in price? Edited by snoobies

I'll never understand why people would go to ebay to buy coins like this LP1 or LP2, when all they have to do is order them online directly from the Mint.... THE LP2 IS " NOT" SOLD OUT ! YOU CAN STILL BUY IT FROM THE MINT ! .... Why would it "be doing well" on ebay ? ..  No one needs to go to ebay to buy the LP2 !.... Or the LP3 .....Or the LP4 ! Now if something "sold out" quickly from the Mint.....like the LP1 kind of did or like the Special Lincoln Set is "going" to.....counter-point taken....I get that... I've said this a million times.....but I'll just never understand why people are so willing to pay so much more for something STILL ON SALE FROM THE DIRECT SOURCE..... Now if someone told me that ebay was having the LP2 two roll Sets for sale at $3.00 a pair........." THEN" you'd have my attention !...  .......If it "undercut" the Mints price......I'd jump on board for sure ! ... Edited by eaglefoot

Ah I hadn't realized that the mint hasn't sold out yet... I suppose that could have something to do with it.

sold all nine of mine today for 28.95 a set. not LP1 prices but I am happy with it. I went on and sold since they expanded the limit. I hope I am wrong but I had a feeling you might not be able to give LP2 away when its over with. Oh and I kept one for myself It was free  Edited by daviscfad

I was told today by e-mail my order shipped today. I hope this will be in my hands soon, I do not believe that this set of coins from the Mint will not sell for a premium, I have been checking ebay and( while the Mint has not sold out as of yet ), the sets are still selling for around $50.00, that said, I do believe these will bring a premium once the Mint is sold out, for more than we see them selling for today.I also feel people selling these sets while the Mint is still selling the sets, could not expect to receive as much as when they are sold out, just my opinion, time will tell, also I personally, did not and do not buy these to sell, just collect........  |

I have not seen any LP2s sell for as high as 50 bucks. Could you link mesome of those auctions? Highest I have seen was 39.95 and only 1 or twwo of them. I have seen some for 30 dollars with free shipping that noone has even bid on. I honestly hope they go up more when the mint sells them out but I think LP1 is the one to own. The other 2 will probably be like Lp2.Just my opinion. I got out when I thought the time was right. no looking back now. Edited by daviscfad
