My CRH results have been very disappointing since early April. A major problem is that ~35-40% of the coins in bank-wrapped rolls I acquired were minted between 2022 and 2004. In addition, the only half dollars that tellers at several banks recently had are customer-wrapped rolls that were "dumped" there by other CRHs. I've found only a few silver half dollars (principally ones that contain 40% silver) during the past six weeks.

Yesterday I acquired two boxes from a bank that recently provided only duds. When I opened the first box, I spied two proof "enders" (including a bicentennial coin). I saw two more proof coins when I examined the other side of the rolls. I hoped that I would find 20-30 more proof coins in that box -- and perhaps a few silver half dollars that were cashed in from the same collection.

I wasn't quite that lucky. I eventually found 12 more proof half dollars minted between 1976 and 2005 -- sweetened by a 1952 Benjamin Franklin half dollar, and three 40% silver Kennedy coins. The box also included two 1987 half dollars, and quite a few more recent NIFCs (which I don't collect). Three of the proof half dollars are commemorative coins: one minted in 1989 to mark the bicentennial of the US Congress; a 1996 Olympic coin honoring soccer players; and a coin issued in 2001 to honor the 6th US Congress. I think each of these coins is worth a few dollars. I added the commemorative coins and six of the Kennedy half dollars to my collection of "impaired" proof coins.

The silver is nice - looks like the proof halves that aren't worth grading are being put into circulation.
