If single custom coins can be ordered, it almost guarantees that the privy marks will be laser etched on standard ASEs (Uncirculated? Proof?) vs. die struck. Unless, of course, the price per coin is set high enough to cover the costs of die engraving and production.

Canada / the Royal Canadian Mint has been producing small runs of privy-marked Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins for decades - with the privy mark engraved into the coin die. None of these, however, have been one-off creations (at least none of which I am aware!).

So much for any collector trying to collect a complete set of privy-marked ASEs!

OK, I think it speaks volumes, however, about the Mint's direction re: new products that the idea of one-off laser-etched privy marks is plausible.

Totally meant to be satirical! If this somehow does come true I will resolve myself to getting just 1 and call it done for that variety.

I think this is the effect of not really having much excitement since 2021. They cheapened the OGP and then totally switched gear and is actually "as nice", if not nicer, than before 2021. ( I think I like the old clamshells better). Now, since last fall, things are a bit uncertain on where the mint is headed with the collaboration with Nice Gang or 8th Era, whoever it is they decided to collaborate with. How long will this last, will they collaborate with other companies? We just don't know.
Add to the uncertainty of that aspect of the mints changing business model are the 250th anniversary military ASEs. That's something that probably could have been anticipated. As I said earlier, you'd think the medals would be enough. It's an additional expenditure of roughly $300 for all 3 (about the cost of the LESPS). It does raise the prospect of (pre)ordering day jitters. Almost a welcome break from getting anything you think you really need on subscription.
I know I mentioned the Laser Beam privy really meaning it's a laser engraved privy, but reality is, that's speculation. We don't really know what they mean.
Another thought, is that it really is some privy of a laser beam.
The thing that really has me confused is it doesn't state what finish it is, or if it's bullion. They do state the mint, but that can just mean the production facility, not necessarily that it's a W mint mark.
Could the mint just decide that they aren't going to mint mark it, making it the same coin as a bullion (except for the privy mark), but not considering it part of the bullion program, and can sell it directly to the public? Just spit balling here.
Another possibility I believe I mentioned, is that they are just announcing when they are releasing another privy bullion, but to the authorized purchasers, not the public. That would be about as confusing as any other explanation.

I don't think "Laser Beam" means they are using a laser to etch the privy

I thiink it's goind to be a symbol reflective of a laser beam

No idea of why they are doing it though
