I like to cruise auction sites, particularly ones that aren't ebay, for deals. I can usually find good deals on world coins as most buyers are there for US coins. Once in a while, I end up with a particularly nice cherry-pick. Let's see if people here can see pick up on what I saw! There were 2 auctions on a site that had a small collection of Indian coins for sale. They were selling for 10 shipped each. I purchased both at that price as there were no other bidders Pictures used are as below: What are you all able to glean from these pictures? I'l have a reveal at the end!

Nice find! Main thing that catches my attention, aside from some of these being in really good condition, is how many denominations India had. I just happen to have found quite a bit more 19th and early 20th century piece from India. Quite a lot to collect there. I think some my Princely State ones are my most prized.

The India Republic coins of that era are quite attractive and varied you are right. You are also correct that some are quite nice. For instance the appearance between the two Pice in the below do seem to be quite different! HMMMM

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't know world coins, but the three along the bottom of the first picture seem to have a proof finish.

Reveal as below! For some reason, someone broke apart a 1954 Republic of India proof set and spread it across two auctions without knowing what they had. Auction prices are around ~1300 for the set. I'm into it for $22 + grading fees

Very nice find - I would have missed it at a glance but guessed it after you teased us haha. And to find the set in two separate lots is a very good snag imo. Very well done!
