I posted this coin a while back. I had a few members question it's authenticity as the coin threw up some "red flags". Well, I have since weighed the coin compared to a normal 1916 Buffalo of 5 grams, and this one weighed 4.83 grams I am attending the Long Beach Coin Expo here in California tomorrow, and am going to visit the ANACS table to see what they think. If they think it's good to go, I will submit it. It looks genuine to me even though someone banged it up pretty bad for some reason or another

Me too

I'm still trying to determine what the knucklehead used to damage this coin? Looks like diamond shaped depressions. Ice pick?

Looks good to me. But not sure it's worth certifying- it will get a low rating and the coin's value may not be worth the grading fees.

That's actually an interesting question. Research indicates that off-center Buffalos aren't all that rare, but very few have seen this much circulation. I can see that as an added-value feature, if your interest is in historic value rather than strict condition rarity.

Hey TreasHunt, The show turned out pretty good. Picked up some errors and a Colonial Washington "Double-Head". Not going to submit this one. I know it's the real deal. I'm with Super. I'm just going to put in an Airtite. Thanks!

It is far enough of center to make certification worth while.
