vermontensium Moderator United States 16679 Posts	Posted 05/29/2009 01:59 am I posted this coin a while back. I had a few members question it's authenticity as the coin threw up some "red flags". Well, I have since weighed the coin compared to a normal 1916 Buffalo of 5 grams, and this one weighed 4.83 grams I am attending the Long Beach Coin Expo here in California tomorrow, and am going to visit the ANACS table to see what they think. If they think it's good to go, I will submit it. It looks genuine to me even though someone banged it up pretty bad for some reason or another swcoin.ecrater.com Report this Post to the Staff

That's actually an interesting question. Research indicates that off-center Buffalos aren't all that rare, but very few have seen this much circulation. I can see that as an added-value feature, if your interest is in historic value rather than strict condition rarity. Report this Post to the Staff
