I found this Wheat penny in a coin roll a while ago. I have not been able to determine the date. I would like some other opinions. Thanks!

The date is too damaged to tell what date it is. Only thing I know for sure is it's from the Denver mint.

Having the coin viewed in-hand might allow for more clues, With the posted photos, It's difficult to determine.

Does the third digit being a number 1 make the most sense?

191 ?

If you are hoping for a 1914 I would agree that there may be a hint of a 4 based on image manipulation. But overlapping a PCGS image indicates the 4 on your coin would be too low. I think the last digit is a 2.

Impossible to tell based on provided images.
