1958 D 1c Die Gouge Or ?

I found two coins with this same incuse feature so it's not a struck through. I'm guessing just an oddly placed gouge but wondered what some other opinions were on this.

Hmmm.
If it were a gouge on the die, wouldn't the end result be raised (on the coin)? It appears to be incuse on the coin, like you said.
(Great images as always.)

With multiple examples found, it seems like something stuck to the incuse part of the die and at least two coins were struck.

In my mind, I would consider this a struck through.
Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
We need to consume them regularly to thrive and grow.

I am confused by your opening statement, seems to contradict itself.

Thanks for the responses as I didn't think this one through. After finding two coins with the same feature my brain just locked into a die defect of some sort.
