Gilly, maybe they'll do edge lettering on non-bullion ASE's + a "40" privy mark of some kind.

Capt,

I was playing the Devil There,........

My thoughts Too, About the Affordable Silver Examples, Whatever finishes !!! What Do you think the U S Mint was thinking when they decided the 1995-W - 4 coin Gold Set would include the 1995-W Silver Proof American Eagle?

I think they we're thinking "Hey, do you wanna bet we can get a decent cross-over of ASE buyers to pony up the Benjamins to buy these gold sets at a huge mark-up. Let's make a note to do it again in 31 years for the 40th Anniversary."

So sort of a repeat of the 30th, that would be fine

Not that it matters, but I really dislike edge lettering.

Common misconception. My understanding is there was an option to select the 10th anniversary set, which added the silver eagle. You can find 4 coin American Gold Eagle sets relatively easily, not everyone decided to add the ASE, believe it or not. Why? "Consistency" is my guess. There were and are people who but the 4 coin gold set annually, and they wanted them all the same, not a 10th anniversary set stuck in the middle.
I'm told the cost was the same for the 4 coin vs the 10th anniversary set. Some of the wiser buyers at the time flipped the 95W and recouped a major part of their purchase price.

Somewhere in that discussion lies,

30,102 4-Gold coin 10TH Anniversary Sets that Included The " 5 th " Coin, The Star of that set,( imo ) The Proof 1995-West Point issued American Silver Eagle.

I originally wanted this 5-Coin set and Could not afford it, Dreams do come True. Checking the Bays offerings This set, In All it's Originally released packaging for about 10K + with Gold being $3,345.00/ ounce, Silver @ $37.80/ ounce, That puts the 1995-W ASE @ around $ 3,000+ Raw ungraded. I may be wrong, ...

A few things for me.
Please for the sake of our wallets, PLEASE do not lump any coin with the 4 gold set. No ASE collector wants to do that.
Please bring back the Enhanced UNCIRCULATED finish like they did on the 2017 225th anniversary set.
Reverse proof is always a plus (just please no S mint) Make it like W or D mint.
Burnished is a nice addition (not W/S or whatever the normal burnished is)
Ultra high relief would be neat
Antiqued would be interesting

OR make a fractional ASE for 1 and only 1 time. Imagine seeing a half oz ASE or funnier a tenth oz ASE.

How about a two coin set featuring an Enhanced Uncirculated and an Enhanced Reverse Proof, both from West Point ? That would be a lovely pair and likely less than $250. . .

I wonder why the Mint has not already produced this. Fiji did in 2022 & 2023
