Mine came in yesterday afternoon. I got 2 sets, the weight of the Lincolns including the holders was 57.8 grams, & 58.8 grams. That makes me think the weight of the holder will not be enough to tell if the Lincolns are zincolns.

It's been a long time since I posted... I've kind of run out of money, and not collecting anything but different annual coins. I was collecting the State Quarters from circulation, and only the Presidential dollars directly the mint. My thing is having at least one coin of every different design. I had to get the entire annual set this year though. The new Lincoln cents, along with the U.S. Territory quarters and Presidential dollars made me go for the annual set. I am especially fond of the cent designs so far. I had forgotten about the new Sacagawea reverse design and was pleasantly surprised with another new "bonus" coin design. :-D

I've had to scale back on a lot of things....and now....it's come to the last thing to "cut back" on......which is "coins" I hope things improve in my area and my business or getting "annual coins and Sets" may have to suffer as well ! ...... Luckily though, in this hobby, there are always interesting and exciting "affordable" coins to still collect....whether that be "Classic" or "Ultra Modern".

Hummmm....did you guys look CLOSELY at the Lincolns?
Two of mine are crap! One has a chatter mark in the right obv field and the other has a big black spot right on Lincoln's head.....GARBAGE. The other two aren't bad, but definately far from PR-70, probably around PR66/67.
The mint has done a HORRIBLE job on producing copper proof cents. I'm amazed you all are happy with your proof Lincolns....I am not.

Thad.......To be honest......I still have yet to look at mine (3 Sets) very closely ! ... I haven't had the "time window" set aside for myself (which I like to do) to sit down with my lights and magnifiers and really look these over...... Are you going to send any Proof Sets back Thad ? However.....possibly the only way to get a PR70 would be in buying one from a slab from a "second party source" ! .. ......."Mint quality" doesn't seem to have the same nuance as it once may have had. HSN bought 20,000 Proof Sets (they said when I watched the other night) And sadly, that might be what it'd take to get a few PR70's !... ... ... I'm never that lucky....(like actually finding the needle in the haystack)...so, most likely, I expect mine to reflect what you have more or less.....

Quote: BadThad:...did you guys look CLOSELY at the Lincolns? This ebay seller would agree with BadThad! "We only got 4 (PF70) sets out of 100 submitted." (so would the winning bidder, from the looks of it!) Mine look around PR67/68 under the 16× loupe, nothing visually distracting to typical 'naked eye' viewing, no big issues, but not PR70 for sure. PR70 slabbed Zinc Memorial "S" Proof Cents I've seen at dealers practically jump out at you from the slab, in terms of appearance!

Thanks for the reply trdhrdr007. Mine came in today and the weight was 58.47 grams. The 3 weights are not enough to make any sort of judgment. Although 58.36 grams seems to be this non-scientific average.
