I've read about this before but I can't remember much. It was like a one or 2 year happening. Somehow quarter blanks were punched from a roll/rolls of dime stock.

Good luck with the outcome, armandoluna! Maybe GC for auction?

Well, there are AU examples of quarters struck on dime planchets selling in the $200 range. But I don't know if year or the high mint state would play a major factor in price. The guy who immediately comes to mind is Jon Sullivan of Sullivan Numismatics.

I would personally hesitate to put it up for auction. Rare coins seem to sit for a while before selling, so it seems less risky to determine a good market price and then sit on it for however long it takes.

I will post when I get in hand. Says it will be here on Thursday. I am not a big fan of GC either. So I will try with a certain price and see how it does on the open market.
