Hi, found your forum after doing a little AI research on a coin I came across. I described the crescent line around on the right of the obverse side (a less apparent one is on the left reverse side). AI suggested it might be the result of either a partial strike or off-center die contact.. I surfed around some of the forum topics, but it doesn't appear that anyone else has posted anything similar?

So, I figured I reach out to you subject matter experts and get your feedback.

First, forget about AI, it's worthless for coin collecting.

Your coin is from a very slightly misaligned obverse die. No big deal, I spend them.

To CCF! I'm glad you found us. Your coin shows a slight Misaligned Die with a Rim Fin or a Tilted Die error. It's not severe enough to carry a premium over face value unfortunately.

and a strong MAD strike as mentioned. nothing to retire off of, but it is a nice example.
