So how do you guys keep organized with your collections? I've run into the habit honestly of obsessively starting new sets and purchasing albums, rather than actually completely working on what I have already. So, one thing that has helped me keep organized is alphabetically organizing all my Dansco albums by coin denomination. I have 10 albums, and I start at cents and go all the way to dollar coins. I also have albums now for each different different coin denomination, which I find pretty nifty. Lincoln cents, various Nickels including Jeffersons, Buffalo and Liberty, Roosevelt dimes, various quarters including State and ATB, Kennedy half dollars, and also SBA dollars and Sacagawea dollars. I do not have all specific coin series though. A few series I have attached into a single album, like my Buffalo/Liberty nickels and SBA/Sacagawea. I have noticed that focusing on what I currently have definitely helps keep my organization more in tune. I also have some random coins, which I enjoy keeping around, but I am thinking of just throwing all my random coins that don't go into a particular set into a nice 2x2 album. What exactly do you guys do for organization? And do you have any tips, tricks, etc?

' Most' of my coins are already inside slabs, so this is similar to what I use...

I keep my albums in numerical order, and they pretty much follow through with the type of coin as well, (lower numbers= lower denominations) But I keep a spread sheet for each album and the coin contained within each one and I note the page/hole number as well for quick reference.

I think that this is pretty common among collectors of US coins, especially as you start to get to the semi-keys and keys. I tell you what though, there is something very satisfying about completing a series.

Considering I only have two Dansco albums so far, it's not hard to organize But seriously, I would put them in denomination and year order like you have it, except that Buffalo album would have to go before the Jeffersons (my OCD). My problem is I buy the coins before the album, so I have a couple of binders for holding coins but I have them in labeled 2x2 flips like these.. My slabs go in these.. I made a label for my SBA's and have ones made up for my Ike's when I get to those

I do not collect any series, so I don't need to spend money on nice albums like those Just 2 x 2s in clear pages that go into 3-ring binders. Of course there are drawbacks to this approach (such as the occasional need to reorganize the ordering of things in the pages).

I use the same! When I bought it last year I thought it would last me a decade but it's already almost half full!

Mine was only needed to hold the PCGS Eisenhower dollar set, including the extras. If I ever do an NGC set, there will be a second one purchased.
