2024 Machine Doubling? Not Sure What I'm looking At.

bjsturg Valued Member United States 74 Posts	Posted 09/28/2025 8:15 pm Sorry the long brief: I believe new minted Lincoln Cent are single press? I was looking up close and saw LIBERTY on this coin and I'm not sure what is it that I'm seeing. From the first impression I see MD(x3?). Then there appears to be DD in LIBERTY and the LB initials on Reverse of the shield. The only reason I say DD is because the letters appear to be thick and there appears to be a line in the middle of the letters with the top left edges have the notch(?), not sure if notch is the correct phrase. I had read something in Wexlers about this. Anyway...I marked in two(OB/RE) pictures the lines in the middle of the letters and the notch at the top. The "B" in Liberty seems to be broken and looks like an "R". I think its PMD. I am probably very wrong about any of this and you input is always very good.
