Seems like something a king would do. Just saying. And before you all get your red undies in a wad... What if Biden['s Treasure Department] did it? (For the record, I would have made the same "king" observation.)

Wait, it cannot be a coin, not without legislation. Good luck passing that in the Senate. Silver medal? Go right ahead. He already has the bronze medals that other presidents have and it is not like he would not be getting the silver version eventually. https://www.usmint.gov/donald-j-tru...R_PRDJT.html

Looks like their are trying to get this design approved for the already passed U.S. semiquincentennial legislation! Quote: "While a final $1 dollar coin design has not yet been selected to commemorate the United States' semiquincentennial, this first draft reflects well the enduring spirit of our country and democracy, even in the face of immense obstacles. We look forward to sharing more soon," the statement continued. https://www.foxbusiness.com/politic...trumps-image

Replace Trump with Liberty and it is a decent design.

Quote: DonaldTrump will forever be the face of America's 250th Birthday NO! That should be LIBERTY. I thought America was about LIBERTY? Quote: I don't know if it's legit, but I hope not. If this somehow gets approved as the $1 design, I will be passing on the entire 2026 program, if not the entire US Mint catalog until the Mint becomes non-partisan again.

Quote: It's not. Just because someone posted it on Twitter doesn't make it true. Or as we hear too often, "fake news". It was re-tweeted by U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach saying " No fake news here." It could just be some shenanigans during the shutdown. Getting everyone up in arms, at least that is implied in his re-tweet.

Quote: I don't know if it's legit, but I hope not. A reporter asked the press secretary about it during the White House daily briefing today. She said she hadn't heard anything about it. I too am in the bad idea camp.
