I've only seen photos of this on 1980's LMC's. Interesting feature that is listed on Traildies. https://www.traildies.com/1989p-1der_001-010/

I have found a few of the wavy steps over the years and do not think that is what you have here. There is usually "bending" to some extent or "knobs". I see what looks like roller lines throughout the area and would think that is what this is too. Here is one I found a while back.

I haven't seen that before, good eye.

strange lines though. if roller lies, it is perfectly lined up with the vertical columns.

That seems unlikely, although it could be an infinite number of monkeys typing the Gettysburg address. Also, roller lines tend to appear on both sides of the coin in perfectly parallel lines because of the way the metal sheet gets drawn out. At least, all the coins I have with roller lines are that way.

In my opinion, all of these lines have nothing to do with trails. Nothing in the listing look like what is going on everywhere. Look at all the areas I have circled. It may not be roller lines, but it is all across the fields and is lined up perfectly with the area in question. Just some sort of plating issue that have derived from contamination of some sort.

The coin has staining on it. At some point the coin appears to have been wiped vertically and horizontally causing stains that appear as raised lines. The fluting on the columns are not stains and widths line up and are raised above (higher than) the stylobyte. These features are consistent with the traildies I included in the OP.
