I have some better photos of 1968 S and I thought for sure it had to be doubling. Except I couldn't find it listed anywhere as a DD, so I figured it was just some impressive Machine Doubling. But regardless I think the only way to convince anybody it's Doubling is by sending it in, and they'd probably list it as Machine Doubling.
Mind you I had to highly crop these photos in order to upload, and if anybody is interested I'll upload more photos

to CCF. @ Fencepost22.
and thank you for posting up those images (your coin?)
Yes what you see on that coin you posted is Machine Doubling, the biggest giveaway on it is that 'step like' appearance of the letters and numbers, also the reduced thickness of them as well.

Thank you for joining in

Take it from people who know what MD is, have studied it, and have been on forums for years helping people identify it. You have MD. There is no need to convince anyone of anything b/c this is such typical MD.

The "doubled" area is flat where the metal from the numbers was plowed over when the die bounced. A doubled die is an actual doubled image of the same thing meaning any doubled area will be contoured like it should be.

You also, I think, are misunderstanding what the companies do. They do NOT look at a coin, try to find errors such as a doubled die, identify the error, and label it. They GRADE coins.

To save yourself a lot of money and frustration, it would be good to read the following actual account of what companies do and how they work. A lot of people lose a lot of money b/c they see "everyone on the internet sending in coins."
