1880 O Morgan dollars: I found a coin similar to 80 Over 79.
Probably not, but I would like to hear your opinions.

bigbang7777, from the 2nd picture you have provided, your 1880-O looks to me like a VAM-5, but a better picture of the "O" mint mark can tell more of the story...

I would check the markers for VAM-4, you have a small O mm and the overdate looks correct.

VAM-5 is a medium O, and this looks like a micro O. The date position looks consistent with a VAM-4, but whole coin photos would help.

That was the reason I asked for a better pic of the "O"...

bigbang7777, in the future, if you post a silver dollar (Morgans or Peace)
that you would like the VAM of, do the following:
1.) A nice close up of the full date showing at least three denticles to the left of the date.
2.) A nice close up of the mintmark, centered and including the tailfeathers.
3.) A nice clear full coin shot of the obverse and reverse.
4.) And finally, anything you feel you see worthy that stands out.

This will help you and us to help you.
