Everyone, thanks for all the input on my previous posts, I am learning. Also, I can see that I need to get better images, still learning that was well.

See a fair number of these. This one is a bit more off the edge than most. The rim is not worn, the reeding is still present. What causes this in a coin?

It's part of the design, plus some Die Deterioration as well.

Could be a slight MAD (Mis-Aligned Die) strike and some Die Deterioration (as evidenced by the radial flow lines near the edge.)

You don't show a photo of the reverse so it could be either a misaligned die
or an of centre strike. ( This is why you should always show both sides of the coin).
Seeing that part of one of the letters is missing, it might be worth keeping.
