Those that know me know my wife has had heart problems, well this is NOT her heart probably the only thing that is working right.

We went to a specialist 4 hours away to she about a shoulder replacement, all went good she gets it done in April. home Monday night . Tuesday I'm in my room working on my coins and I hear thump and scream go look she on the floor. Long story short she is in the hospital with a broken femur on the right leg. Was told she will be spending Christmas and New Year in the hospital.

The good thing she should be up and waking (I hope) in time for the shoulder replacement.

I think she just likes the hospital food, So I may not be on here as often as I was.

Wow, sorry to hear about her incarceration to the hospital and forced to dine on that 'wonderful' food there.

Hope all works out well for her (and you too). be well.

Wishing her a speedy and full recovery....In the meantime, get rid of all area/throw rugs. Better to have cold floors than trip hazards.

We did that years ago, this was the rubber sole slipper stopping on the hardwood floor and she didn't stop.

mcshilling...sorry to hear about your wife.

what a great opportunity to collage the moment...all of us here love pics...take lots...you'll smile looking back on this...
I hope it doesn't take too long to rehab...
Make her work it...rehab stinks...because most of the time you feel like you're alone.
Encouragement means a lot and asking "what can I help with" is really appreciated.
I'm coming off a broken ankle nearly 6 months ago...just when back to work yesterday...and the tender loving support of my wife during all of this is the reason I write.
Be that tender loving support for your wife with empathy and encouragement.
Before this ankle injury...I too was scheduled for a shoulder replacement in November...My surgeon said I'd have to wait till after the new year because of the "on going" rehab just to walk normal without a limp.
Too much too fast is the way she put it, and I understand her reasoning. If I'm not 100% with my ankel...how could I focus 100% on my shoulder?
Sorry about the long response...
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and you wife!
Looking fwd to a pic or 2

mcshilling sorry to hear about your dear wife. She is having all the problems like I did. First my left knee replaced. Then my right hip. Then gall bladder. Both hands carpal tunnel. It really stinks getting old. I can say I am happy all the time. I am still moving but now next year I will have my right knee replaced like my left one. The worst and most brutal recovery is having a knee replaced. Now I hear from my doctor is that the second longest recovery is the shoulder. Tell your wife to hang in their and enjoy after the surgery she will be able to smack you again. Ha.
Tell your wife we will be thinking about her at Christmas and tell your lovely wife you will be waiting on her hand and foot. Take care and enjoy the holidays with her.
