Not 100% sure these are trails. Every one I have come across and also seen in listings have the same degree of direction on each side, all the same on obverse and all the same on reverse. I do not know the degrees of each I have pointed out but feel the different colors I have notated are all different. I could be wrong but don't think so. Look at different listings and you will understand what I mean.

They sure look like die trails to me, but makecents is making sense.

Now I'm not sure.

Anyone else to add to the discussion?

I'm going to be noncommittal
Some of the lines, especially lower left (L/L) of N, T/L of W, L/L of E, look like they have the attributes of trail dies. But other spots, especially L/R of E, bottom of T, etc look more like Die Deterioration / radial flow lines

This was bothering me so did some more digging and remembered something I saw on Error-Ref. " Die Deterioration Promoted by Trails", so maybe it's both. The examples shown, show deviation in the degree of angles.

Interesting! I was going to pose the question if a Trail Die coin could progress to a deterioration issue (I figured the answer was obvious!)
So, my noncommittal post may have been right!!

Sometimes I feel like I am more of a fly in the ointment, but you are very welcome. If nothing else, we learn from each other spit balling, I have learned much from this site.
