Hey everyone. I wanted to share this 1940-S Dime that I was able to get listed as a variety on VarietyVista. It is the listing VDDR-003. It is just a class 2 with light spread, however there aren't that many doubled die reverses for
Mercury dimes listed, so I'm very happy with this. There are lots of doubled master reverses for
Mercury dimes but I felt like the doubling present on this coin stood out as stronger and more significant than the usual MHD. The doubling is evident on the upper axe blade, top of the fasce, "STATES OF", and top of the olive branch.
