The title pretty much sums it up When the mint does release this coin I hope they primarily offer it as a as a Proof I would like it to fit in with the original 39 coin program They can save the reverse proof got the C&Cs set

Yeah I think we discussed in some other threads that this year is pretty busy as it is with all the SemiQ offerings. Maybe in 2027. Of course, with the new pricing a Carter C&C set would be $300 without a silver medal and $500 with one. Yes, I hope they release one; pricing will determine if I get one.

From the Presidential $1 Act: Quote: (E) Limitation in series to deceased presidents.-- No coin issued under this subsection may bear the image of a living former or current President, or of any deceased former President during the 2-year period following the date of the death of that President. Carter is not yet eligible - he died in December 2024. He'll be eligible beginning December 29, 2026.

George H. W. Bush died on November 30th 2018, his Presidential dollar was released on December 4th, 2020 I went back to page 19 of this forum and read the topic titles until I found one discussing the Bush Presidential dollar and the first topic appeared in February of 2020, a full 10 months before they released it https://goccf.com/t/368524 br / There was another topic posted in January of 2020 in the Modern Coin forum https://goccf.com/t/365254 br / The first topic for a product was December 14th, 2020 https://goccf.com/t/387677 br / I have to wonder why we haven't heard anything about a coin for Carter

Quote: I have to wonder why we haven't heard anything about a coin for Carter Maybe because Congress hasn't authorized the coin yet? Legislation was introduced in early 2025 that would allow such a coin, but the bill remains in Committee pending further action.
