Hi all,
Given that I suck at doubling, I have a question about this date stamp. Compared to others in the roll the date has extra thickness and appears "fuzzy". Is this a variety, deterioration or other doubling.
it also has a well placed die chip.

Well, after looking at all the provided links and seeing many 1958-D cent coins with the same 'backwards 1', I'll go on record and state that this must be a die dent.

How does the last T in trust get pushed over to the rim like that? I have seen this before in other pennies.

It's not as much "pushed into the rim" as much as it is enlarged from a Grease Filled Die and possible Machine Doubling.

Amazing what you can find on the CCF "Search Box" - https://goccf.com/t/312713
