It's higher than we usually see but within an acceptable location for the era of hand punched mint marks during which it was produced.

2x2 worthy IMO as a fun curiosity.

As these were hand punched, anywhere below the date and to the right
of the chest is acceptable. Yours is a little higher than usual but with
probably close to a million minted, it would not be rare.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it but think it is either MD or a lighting issue, more than likely the latter.
