In my opinion WD had mentioned some good points and while I would agree that condition, ALL Original Government parer work is a must for the Die-Hard collector, these sets are, to me, priceless.
I too collect these sets and although I would not consider selling them, I can see that sometimes WE sell what we have to. To come up with a price for these sets many things can alter the "sale "price, some already mentioned and things like toning, possible Cameos, etc. Big difference between PR-65 and PR68 or 69.
I would also suggest the use of the Numismatic News Price Guide, the Red Book is, as we all know, over-priced, even the Grey sheet would give a more realistic figure to ask for a fair price. Also remember your sets, if taken care of are probably not the same as other's would keep, unless they too are an avid collector.
What ever you do, check E-BAY for ended listings and look at the photo's and selling price for an actual up to date reference, looking at the condition and packages also, good luck, Mike........PS: Do you have only one of each or?
