Please help me on what I'm looking at. Both is 69 S but why is one looks larger on the photo of lincoln and ears so much bigger. Thanks

I think it's circulation flattening on the coin on right. Just my opinion!!

The "S" mint mark seems lower on the cent to the right.

Mint marks were placed by hand back then--their position can (and will) vary.

That's probably the cause because you can see his cheek and jaw are flattened too..........

The mint mark can be anywhere in that triangle below the date and right of the jacket to be acceptable.
The mint workers weren't exact everytime they hand punched a mint mark in the die.

The OP is not asking about the mm. As already stated, the ear is larger from circulation flattening. Please read the OP's statement in full before replying....

the ear is larger on the cent on the right due to maybe several factors, die wear (these coins were struck by different die sets) and circulation, the one on the right has lots of flattening on the high points (the ear).

Without clear closeup, not for sure but more than likely for the same reason, circulation flattening.
