Bumpy fields would be new for Morgan, Peace but not for coins. Other mints have done it. Some have swirling patterns, diamond shaped bumps, overlapping lines, etc. Here is one, Queen's Beast Yale, 2 oz silver, 2019.
Thank you for sharing.

Good-looking and tempting, but nah... not after dropping wheelbarrows of cash on the annual sets and ASEs this year.

For me it depends on the silver Liberty Bell medal.

I like it.

That means there are five types of finishes for these coins.

Looks like I'll have to rearrange my page to make it work.

I have searched the web and cannot find any info about this.

Gilly, can you post a link to the video you got the screen capture from?

I cannot find any other source for this other than a random comment in this article...

I'm sorry, that's all I can come up with as well. The YouTuber (who I know may read this) is evidently putting this out as verified info, when it's really not, there's nothing on the coinweek article concerning this finish. I can't, so far, find where the image came from either.

Thanks Gilly for the Video of the 2026 Morgan silver dollar. I think the presented design for the 2026 Morgan looks cool.

I also wanted to mention the First year for the Morgan dollars was 1878, They continued basically to 1904, Again for the Final year, 1921.

The Morgan dollars Are the most collected dollars To date by collectors alike, I too collected the series and More. They decided to Honor the Morgan dollars Again in 2021, The 100th Anniversary of the last date of release , 1921.

The Modern series Was a Huge boost to collectors and Numismatic Enthusiasts .

Now to present date, The Morgan silver dollars Were NOT made in any years Originally after 1921, Fast forward to Today, The mints are running away with resurrecting an Iconic coin's design , So they continue to release them Year after Year that Never Were originally minted 100th Anniversary wise. IMO, After the release of the 2021 Morgans the craze has simmered, Much.

Now the Newer design, I do think it is Appealing, Just not for Me.

I am All in favor of Collecting what Anyone chooses, Just be aware the Facts.

Now there was Another Silver dollar that Was Originally released 100 years ago Today, The Peace Silver Dollars. They were Originally released 100 years ago in 1926, 1927, 1928, 1934 and finally in 1935.

So the 100th Anniversary coins for the Peace series for 2026 Is a True 100th Anniversary coin. I am All in for these ,..........Enjoy what You please.....

Gilly - I'd love to find that US Mint video he's referencing, but no luck so far.

Morgan -
I'm pretty sure 1921 was the first year the Peace dollar was issued and the last year for the Morgan, which is why the mint released the 2021 set.

Until shown otherwise on the US Mint website, I will just assume they are just the typical reverse proof with privy.

I did see the diamond texture field Morgan image in a US Mint promotional video. I think that's where it originated. But, who knows how or if it's related to an actual product.
