It's pretty banged up ("to define the grade", as they say :) )though I can only see the obverse. Its a low mintage date for sure, but I'd crack it out of that bogus slab and keep it raw or submit to one of the "real" grading services for grading and attribution (NGC or PCGS preferably the latter).
If its a MS62 for sure you got a good deal if its not been cleaned or altered, tough to tell from the photos. Seller seems to have good feedback overall but from suspicious parties if you ask me. Just my opinion, naturally. I'd want to examine it raw to check for circulation signs with all those tics on it.
Best

Thanks Bruce, I was thinking of taking it out of the case and submiting it to PCGS. And you can actually see the reverse in an enlarged photo if you click on it.
What do you guys think this will grade?

Its pretty sad when I'm not even adept enough at ebay to know how to look up actions by auction number.

Its pretty easy Elimist, if you copy the numbers I put up (just the numbers not including #) and you paste it in ebays seart area, the listing should come up.
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT THIS.

A bad decision.. JMHO
You could get a problem free PCGS or NGC coin in AU for about the same price.

I don't like it...usually coins in those sub-par TPG slabs tend to be overgraded at best, and problematic at worst.

Had you come here first to ask, I'd have advised you not to purchase that coin even with stolen money. The only reason a dealer who advertises his membership in ANA, PCGS and NGC would be selling coins in third-world slabs (and "NAS" is hardly a reputable grader) is if they won't grade that high in a reputable slab. The coin pictured is no better than AU, and a rather beat-up one at that which likely downgrades to XF because of all the marks. Assuming the surfaces are original, and that's a slippery assumption, given the third-world slab. I have to give the seller credit, though; he posted pretty nicely detailed photos.

I agree with most of the above posts that this is not a coin to buy for $200. The eye appeal is low and those contact marks are too numerous and widespread for this is to be an MS coin. It is not worth worth cracking out and submitting to a legit TPG. I'd return it for a refund.

Honest answer; No, NAS is one of the self slabbers.
Sorry, but be glad:

Stick to PCGS and NGC for slabs. Raw coins on ebay? I never do, though I scored massively with a 1856 std. quarter that turned out to be nicer than described. I'm not good at counterfiet detection and if a piece is cleaned skilfilly enough I couldn't tell. Of course, if you like the coin, and it fits in your set, it's always worthwhile :) Best of Luck Bruce

UPDATE. Just sold the coin to a local dealer for $240. :) Now I'm hopping to make it to The Long Beach show in Sept. to see what I can scoop up.

I was in agreement with the posters who recommended a return for this bagmarked AU coin, but you can't argue with your outcome! Obviously you decided to hang onto it. I wonder if the dealer spotted something unusual about the coin (like a scarce VAM type, perhaps?) that made him willing to pay the $240. Of course, he could have been a newbie who assumed the MS-62 grade on the label was valid, in which case I don't think he will be a very successful dealer for long! Anyway, congratulations! It's always nice to unload a "problem" coin, especially at a profit!
