Went to 2 of my local banks today asking for 2009 Lincoln cents. Was told at both that not only did they not have any, but they have NEVER had any. That seems almost criminal this late after release date !

Not too unusual! I've been regularly (at least twice a week) frequenting about 10 banks in my area. I have found them at one bank only. Most of them never got any, and the couple that did only had one box. (this was the log cabins, I haven't seen any splitter rolls yet)

Well mine always said that the Fed isn't going to release full rolls of it, only mixed in when the coins are recirculated.

Well, that was better than my bank where the teller told me, "nope, the new pennies aren't out yet."

Yeah........try to "ask" for any Nickels, Dimes, Quarters too !
The "only" thing new still coming in to my bank now.....is the Presidential dollars.
Most banks are "full" and not even requesting any "new" coins AT ALL ! All of the Fed. Resv. banks are chocker blocked FULL of coinage and are not requesting any. Therefore, "we" don't get any ! ..
Here and there, of course there are some released and circulating....but it isn't the norm.....yet.

I have yet to see any new Sacagawea dollars, pennies, nickels or dimes in Tennessee. However, when I went to my Son-in-law's Basic Military Training/Boot Camp graduation at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, I was able to get some of the rail splitter/LP2 pennies. I went to a bank next to the hotel where we stayed and was able to only get 2 pennies. At least they were log cabins.

From Arkansas, I went to the bank yesterday and no new coins except Presidential dollars. No new cents to be found in change either. But we didn't start getting 2008's until late Fall last year.

Grocery stores and fast food chains seem to get them faster than the banks and I have bought rolls from each

I got a box at my work. I work in a grocery store. Next delivery came 2 days later, and back to the usual shrink wrapped rolls. Guess I got lucky, wanted to sell half of em, no ones buying!

Finally got some log cabins this week. Got one roll in a bank, it was all they would give. Said the same thing about getting one box. The next day I spied a roll in the tray at our local supermarket. Grabbed that one and got seven more rolls from the other tellers. Got the same story about the box being mixed in the other boxes. The next day I scored 40 rolls at another bank but it was the same story - one box only. They are brinks boxes that have to be opened to see them. I never order cents but did this week getting five...no new ones. I did get one box that is completely copper! Full of wheats also so that was pretty good! I hadn't done the pennies in so long that I forgot how much fun they were!
