So, I have not been able to get cents for quite some time locally but my mother-in-law has hooked me up a couple of times where she has a business and lives in a rural area. The most recent hook up was a $50 bag, which I was really fired up about but then discovered there was moisture in the bag and moldy cents. I have spread them out on paper and we run our AC pretty much all the time this time of the year so I'm sure that will help but not sure how to handle the countless moldy cents. Any ideas?

You could soak them in a big roster pan full of Acetone for a few days if you want to search them - or just take to a bank that has a counting machine and cash them in.

Marv's suggestion is a good one. I'd like to add that if you're going to handle and search moldy cents, I'd wear gloves.

with Marv. But it doesn't need to be for days - a few hours would be sufficient.
By the way, I have several of those roaster pans in various sizes. They're great for cooking, as well as many other applications.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
